Shopify CSV Format Checklist
Use this checklist before import to reduce common Shopify CSV errors.
Field checklist
- Title: Must not be blank for products you intend to import.
- Handle: Prefer lowercase slug format and avoid duplicates.
- Published: Use TRUE or FALSE consistently.
- Tags: Keep comma-separated and remove duplicate tags.
- Variant Price: Keep numeric decimal values without currency text.
- Variant Inventory Qty: Use non-negative integers.
Pre-import routine
- Run CSV cleanup and review warnings.
- Download cleaned CSV and open in spreadsheet tool for spot checks.
- Test import with a small subset first.
- Run full import after validation.
